What is the Walk For Freedom?
MISSION & HISTORY.
Walk For Freedom is a day of global awareness and local action in the fight against human trafficking. Walk For Freedom was started by A21, one of the largest international non-profit organizations fighting solely against human trafficking.
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, thousands of people in hundreds of cities across the globe will hit the streets - all walking in a single file line, wearing black, and holding posters and handing out flyers - to raise awareness and advocate against human trafficking happening in their local community.
Every action decreases local vulnerability, enabling your friends, family, and community leaders to spot and report possible cases of human trafficking.
This is your opportunity to make a difference and open the door to a future without slavery, where justice is done and freedom reigns for all.
Donation Process.
All proceeds contributed through the A21 website go towards the global organization, A21. They do not go towards local efforts. Each city is responsible for their own fundraising to put on the event in their city.
All proceeds contributed through Zelle, Go Fund Me, or checks written to our non-profit will go towards funding Fort Lauderdale’s 2nd Annual A21 Walk For Freedom.
If there are additional proceeds, they will go towards next year’s walk and/or a donation will be made to NJCC or another local organization fighting against human trafficking.
